Front Row Herky
Windsor Heights, Iowa
This is a seven foot rendition of "Herky the Hawkeye" at
the Front Row bar in Windsor Heights, Iowa. He's out of
Sycamore, and his eyes, jersey, and shoes are burned, not painted. I usually hesitate to paint wood, I prefer that the
grain of the wood show through whenever possible. We
delivered him right before the 2006 game between Iowa and Iowa State (big rivalry!), and Iowa came through after a close game. Perhaps Herky provided some good luck?!!
